2011 Porsche 911 (997) Speedster Rendered

The artist based his drawings on a few spy shots of the car presented by AutoWeek.

The artist gives us a nice, imaginative look of the Speedster, by using an interesting body colour that is matched by the roof cover. He touched up the front bumper quite a bit, changed the brake caliper color to yellow, and revised the side sills. He also cleaned up the five-double-spoke wheels, giving them larger, shinier rims. The car is expected to have standard equipment like ceramic brakes, active suspension, and a widebody package.

Potentially, the Porsche 911 Speedster could be released before the end of the year. It would be the first 911 to carry the Speedster name since the 1990 series that was assembled less than a 1,000 times. The new car would likely be limited to about 100 production units. It will use the company's 3.8-liter straight-six engine with the X51 Carrera power kit to produce 402-hp (300-kW, 408-PS), getting the car to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds. Top speed on the €230,000+ car could be 306 km/h (190 mph).
