In a recent interview, the president Matthias Muller said it was studying a joint venture between Porsche and Bentley. The two car manufacturers should share the task of purchasing and the platform of the Panamera, in order to increase synergies, economies of scale and reduce costs of design and production.

Additionally, Muller has announced that they are studying other variants of the Porsche Panamera, as the long wheelbase version provide a good platform for a station wagon or crossover.
