The next generation R8 sports car is set to go under the kinfe for a facelift in the beginning of 2012. It will get more power and a dual-clutch gearbox.

Visually, the narrow all-LED headlights are standard equipment. The grille fits in with the new Audi line-up and wearing more beveled edges and accented fins.

The 4.2-liter V8 will increase to 450 hp. The 5.2-liter V10 is coming with 560 hp which is the same as the current GT version. The automated six-speed R-Tronic gearbox is being replaced by a dual-clutch gearbox with seven gears.

This next R8 sounds like it will be taking many of its cues from the R8 GT.
