Porsche has officially revealed the Cabriolet version of their new 991 model. The new soft top uses composite materials with a new magnesium frame in effort to reduce overall weight. Porsche also said that the design allows for the 911 roof line to be "retained in its entirety" on the Cabriolet model.

The Cabriolet has a longer wheelbase than the hard top, but other than that they have the same interior, exterior, powerplants (350-400HP), and transmission (7-speed manual or PDK).

Available in March 2012 in Germany starting at €100,532 for the Carrera and €114,931 for the Carrera S. In the U.S. Spring 2012 $97,300 for the Carrera and $108,000 for the Carrera S. In the U.K. £79,947 for the Carrera and £89,740 for the Carrera S.
