Audi is discontinuing the manual transmission in the S4 and S5 for Europe. Only the U.S. will still have the 6-speed manual as an option. The S-tronic (a.k.a. DSG) transmissions has the clear advantage and makes sense with faster shifting, better fuel economy and faster straight line performance.

This change will take place starting with next model year's facelift.
