Audi's 7 new Technologies in Development

Audi has always been an innovative and evolving company for the better. To prove that once again they have revealed seven new technologies that are in the early development stages which include:

Garage Parking Pilot -
A parking garage computer communicates a data exchange with the Audi to communicate free spaces and guides you to the open spots.

OLED -
It stands for "organic light emitting diode" which are made up of an organic polymer that act like semiconductors. The material is only a few nanometers thick and spans the space between the anode and cathode, both of which are enveloped in an electrically conductive coating. They can be arranged to display an animated surface.

Hybrid body materials -
This new carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) material is a mixture of aluminum, steel and fiber-reinforced components that both reduce weight and increase strength.

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) -
This new suspension spring will debut this year in the Audi R8 e-tron. It is fiberglass helix baked together with an epoxy resin, followed by a metal alloy wire that's woven into the spring. This is 40% lighter than the conventional spring and actually stronger.

Multitouch controls -
A new multitouch system similar to those found on smartphones and tablets that incorporates tactile feedback. Paired with a new head-up displays, voice controls and gestures, hopes to reduce driver distraction while increasing control.

Predictive suspension technology -
With a sensor camera up front it can measure uneven road surfaces approaching and have the suspension adapt to the upcoming conditions; providing the smoothest ride possible.
