The Future of Porsche's Hybrid Technology

A new report has surfaced, outlining the future technology of Porsche hybrid's.
A new unit is being developed where the electric motor and clutches (PDK) are built together as one. Apparently its size will even fit into the 911 chassis (we will see the first of its kind in the new 918 Spyder). The new electric motor will produce more horsepower than currently, and it will have both air and liquid cooling. An improved battery and the use aluminum wiring throughout will help cut down on weight. They are even working on a wireless charging system that would work with proximity sensors placed in the garage, but also keep the plug-in option as secondary. Lastly, they are rumored to be developing a GPS based engine management system providing accurate data for the optimal energy driving mode.
